We are pleased to announce that our latest clinical collaboration has been published in Reproductive Sciences (Springer).
The study, titled “Smartphone-Assisted CSCTAS-Derived Sperm Kinematics and Clinical Pregnancy after Intrauterine Insemination in a Turkish Cohort of Couples with Unexplained Infertility,” uses our microscope-mounted, smartphone-assisted Computerized Sperm Counting and Tracking Analysis System (CSCTAS) to characterize sperm kinematics in 184 first IUI cycles (2018–2019) and compares them by ultrasound-confirmed clinical pregnancy.
Clinical pregnancy occurred in 29 cycles (15.8%). Wobble (WOB) was higher and beat-cross frequency (BCF) lower in pregnancy-positive cycles, but effect sizes were small and single-variable AUCs (0.526 and 0.555) were near chance; Bland–Altman analysis showed a −3.44 point bias between manual and CSCTAS motility. The authors therefore present these as exploratory, population-level digital motility signals rather than standalone predictors of individual IUI outcome.
